About Monday's Gripe....

On Monday I complained about the fact that I felt like I wasn't losing any weight. I think I figured out why. The pool has been closed since Thursday. They are doing some work on the ceiling. I really feel like swimming laps makes a huge difference, I get out of the pool hungry, and physically spent, but not fatigued mentally.

I said it before - swimming a mile is like running 4. I am looking forward to the pool reopening. Let's just hope that my weigh in on Friday does not reflect how I feel.


  1. That pool sign is hilarious. I used to love the pool when I was a kid but I haven't been in one in probably 20+years. Your post makes me want to join a gym or something and head to the pool and see if I still remember how to swim.

    swimming is so good for you. i am not a great swimmer. years ago my sis had a pool, and i loved housesitting for her when she went out of town. i would do laps, and then lay on a raft and just float and doze. and then repeat. for hours. so fabulous!

    hope that pool is up and running again for you soon!
